Compact-Flash is a small, removable mass storage electronic SSD (solid-state-disk) with IDE interface. Using this adapter you can easily read CF card on IDE port. If your CF card can’t be connected directly, use this adaptor to connect your CF card to devices with X86 or RISC core which usually has an IDE interface .Such as X86 Core computers… Then you can read the info from your CF card digital camera etc. This adaptor and CF card can also used as a substitute for usual HDD( hard-disk driver) to store embedded OS (operating system) such as LINUX or WINCE in industry PC avoiding the damage caused by frequent turning on/off the power.
